PROGRAM DESCRIPTION - The Eviction Defense Network (EDN) is a 501(c)(3) Non-profit corporation dedicated to increasing access to justice to low to moderate income tenants in Los Angeles County.  We provide legal assistance in eviction defense matters.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA degree in business or related discipline. MBA preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
• At least one year prior experience in a similar setting.
• Proficient at MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
• Basic Bookkeeping and record keeping (especially Quickbooks accounting software)
• Knowledgable in website maintenance
• Ability to develop office systems and keep records
• Excellent interpersonal and phone skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Able to multi-task under tight timetables
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills
• Consistency in work pace, style and execution
• Flexibility/Adaptability
• Demonstrated commitment to serving the needs of low-income persons
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, ability to learn quickly

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee office administration, including maintenance of filing system.
• Coordination employees’ schedules
• Schedules weekly staff meetings and monthly board meetings
• Oversee vendor contracts for service, office upkeep, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain Personnel records and manages Human Resource functions
• Schedules and coordinates annual performance reviews.
• Assist in recruiting, including advertising, screening, and interviewing.
• Manages employee orientation, exit interviews, requests and scheduling of vacations.
• Maintains and updates employment manual.
• Assist in renewing insurance policies.
• Answers incoming calls
• Reads and replies to incoming e-mails
• Checks the voice mail
• Does the bookkeeping for the Checking and Trust Accounts
• Assists with payroll
• Relieves the receptionist for lunch
• Organizes outreach
